District 6 students will be seeing a new report card this year. The new reporting system puts the emphasis on students demonstrating proficiency on a lengthy list of “competencies.” The student will “use common, grade-appropriate Greek and Latin affixes and roots as clues to clarify meaning of words” is one such competency identified under Language Arts.
