Students are wrapping up their current Book Clubs. From what I can tell from classroom discussions, the kids are loving Bunnicula, Riding Freedom and, Roald Dahl’s The Witches. They’re expected to finish in time for Thursday morning’s final exam, and to keep pace I’ve asked them to read another section Monday night (Freedom, Ch 8; Bunnicula, Ch 7; and Witches to page 138). In math they’ll be completing their unit on multi-digit multiplication with a final exam on Thursday. Here’s the math homework for this week: Tuesday, Nov. 13th; Wednesday, Nov. 14th; Thursday, Nov. 15th. Be sure to check student binders for the result of their most recent vocabulary test–and see the post below to see how they’re doing with Super Sentences (if there are still mistakes in your child’s sentence, then he or she is just not putting forth a good effort, as all sentence tests were returned with clear editing marks). Conferences are next week, so be sure to sign-up using the conferences tab above, and there’s no school on Monday, Nov. 12th (Veterans’ Day) nor on Friday, Nov. 16th (Report Card prep).
