As we conclude the first trimester and head into parent-teacher conferences, Room 15 students are racing to complete a variety of tests and projects. This week students will be sharing their “Bigfoot Encounters” stories (due Monday, Nov. 15th), both in class and online, examining the literary elements of their independent reading project (due Monday Nov. 15th), adding to their web pages, and creating their Christmas cafeteria elves. In history they’ll spend the week examining the American Revolution in preparation for the writing of our own classroom Constitution between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Speaking of history, congrats to Ana, Bailee, Alex, Rodney, and Savannah for winning History Jeopardy, which served as a study activity for the trimester exam. On the exam itself, Roger, Adrien, Rodney, and Savannah all scored 100%, which contributed to a favorable class average of 77%. Great job! Finally, if you have any issues with next week’s parent-teacher conferences, please feel free to contact Mr. Lewis at mack.lewis@district6.org. To see the current schedule, just click here.
