We missed International Talk Like A Pirate Day, but Room 15 kids are invited to mutter their best “Arrghh, Maties” when we study pirates in history this week. After looking at the colonies in Jamestown, Plymouth, and Salem, we’ll venture into uncharted waters and discuss the impact piracy had on the “New World” and a young America. Also this week we’ll be prepping for Saturday’s Harvest Fair (Be sure to attend, 5-8 p.m. on Saturday), launching our student webpages, writing about the worst Halloween ever, starting new Book Clubs, practicing our classroom plays, and much more.
