This week on the CPE Music Room Stage: the 2010 Room 15 players performing three silly plays, all on Friday, October 1st. At 10:00, Rodney Knight stars as Little Leonard Lively in When Leonard Refused to Say the Pledge, a skit about personal rights and respect for the flag. At 1:05, Anthony Rios stars as the giant, Cecil Feeble, and Levi Lyons stars as Jack in Jack & The Beanstalk. Finally, at 1:30, Kale Harms stars as Peter Rabbit in Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit. Family members are welcome to attend, but please check in at the office. All three plays are in the Music Room.

Also this week, Room 15 kids will be joining “Book Clubs,” which means their nightly reading homework will be assigned. Kids will be selecting from The Twits, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and George’s Marvelous Medicine, all by Roald Dahl (a true master at engaging otherwise reluctant readers). We’re also studying the Roanoke and Jamestown colonies, writing descriptive paragraphs, playing dodge ball, and much more.
