That’s right, Everyone! The Sams Valley Mini-Marathon is such a splendid event that everyone came out a winner. The overwhelming response from the kids was that the event was fantastic. All the horses and llamas along the colorful country roads watched 664 students and a few dozen adults run the 3.1 mile course. Of course, many of the runners paused to watch the horses and lllamas, too.
All those days of running around the school paid off for CPE students, as CPE won the Mini-Marathon Team Championship. Individual medal winners from CPE included Elisabeth R. (4th place girls), Cierra H. (6th place girls), Natalie M. (8th place girls), and Mackenzie R. (10th place girls), Luke Pomeroy (2nd place boys), Chase Cavalllaro (5th place boys), Andy Monroe (6th place boys), Beau Pomeroy (9th place boys), and Miss Moore (first CPE teacher).
Special thanks to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for sending out patrol support, and to KDRV Channel 12 for some great news coverage.
Why didn’t you get a picture of Elisabeth? She was the first person you mentioned, and yet you don’t even get a picture of her! If you couldn’t find her, then that’s okay, but get her picture sometime. And if you don’t, I’ll tell her that you didn’t take her picture(just kidding) ha ha.
