The 2009 Sams Valley Mini-Marathon is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30th at 9:30 a.m. All District 6 4th and 5th graders will be running the 5000 kilometer (3.1 mile) walk/jog/run race along Sams Valley’s oak-lined country roads. To participate, students must turn in their registration form by Oct. 2nd. The cost to participate is $5 but scholarships are available for hardship cases. All participants get the 2009 Mini-Marathon T-shirt, and the top ten girls and boys each receive a Mini-Marathon “Gold” Medal. All students were given a marathon registration form last week.
